BIOGRAPHY

Olly E is an Alternative Rock solo artist and songwriter from Leicester, UK.

In 2016, Olly E decided to focus on working as a solo artist and released his first E.P. "1" in August of that year, whilst studying at BIMM Bristol. This was followed by appearances at local venues and festivals on his return to Leicestershire. 

​

Over the years, he has self-produced singles, videos and online content whilst building a following. After a brief stint as a bass player on a cruise ship, Olly E went into the studio to work on his second E.P. "Such is Life" in early 2019. 

​

As an outsider, missing a sense of belonging has fuelled a fire within Olly E, as is reflected in his lyrics, when thoughts become words on the page. Finding socialising a struggle; instead seeking solace in songwriting, the one thing he has dreamed of is becoming a successful musician, believing that this is where he’ll find a place to finally fit in. As a result, he aims to give hope through music to those who feel lost or alone, providing a haven where everyone can belong.

Olly E has been performing at local shows and festivals and released two singles from the E.P. to gain traction for the full release. The second single, "For You" received airplay on BBC Introducing and was featured on "pickmypostcode.com"'s video draw. As a result, Olly E received many heartfelt messages from the public saying how the track had moved them and helped them to cope with their issues.

Released on 31st August 2019, Olly E's second E.P. "Such is Life" addressed personal battles with depression, heartache and loneliness, whilst hoping to help listeners struggling with mental health see a brighter future. 

​

During 2020 he released two new singles/music videos 'I Refuse' and 'Beyond this Reality' landing plays on BBC Introducing, interviews with BBC Leicester, Click on This in LA, Flipsyde in India and prominent blog write-ups such as RGM music magazine. 

​

The next step is to tour as soon as possible and keep releasing singles growing an online audience.
